Resume

Fatty liver dystrophy is considered a component of the metabolic syndrome. Violations of liver function indicate the risk of developing chronic diseases with an unfavorable prognosis. Early detection of hepatic steatosis is essential to ensure a timely and effective follow-up strategy to prevent progression of the disease. A mandatory condition for early diagnosis of fatty liver dystrophy in a family doctor’s practice is a non-invasive and reliable method — ultrasound examination of the liver.
