Summary. The attitude of the population to oral hygiene is the most important factor in dental health. The level of oral hygiene in patients with somatic pathology is a serious medical and social problem. Objective: to determine the effectiveness of group and individual classes in hygienic oral care for patients with high and very high risk of developing chronic non-infectious diseases. Object and methods of research. The level of knowledge of 304 patients with high and very high risk of developing cardiovascular and metabolic diseases regarding dental health was analyzed according to the survey. In addition, within the framework of the health school for the patient «The basis of a healthy lifestyle», group and individual classes in oral hygiene were held. Results. A low level of basic knowledge of hygienic care of the oral cavity, a lack of understanding of the relationship between somatic and dental diseases, low motivation for preventive visits to the dentist were revealed. Conclusion. Dental personalized support for patients at high risk of developing chronic non-infectious diseases is necessary in the work of a modern dentist.
